I have worked as both a business owner and an employee.  I can relate to the impact that a business has on its owner, and I have a great deal of experience understanding the “Big Picture.” I am looking to use my experience to assist businesses and organizations in becoming more successful. How may I help?

Implementing a large project that will require planning, organization, and oversight?

I have been responsible for many business projects, including mergers and acquisitions, multiple software transitions, business relocations, and newly opened locations.  I have led teams that have launched new products and services, outsourced procedures to other locations, and downsized or combined departments.  I have developed simple job mapping and Gantt chart designs to help manage and direct projects. 

Moving to a new location?

I have been responsible for many relocation projects, including (20) business relocations, (4) newly opened locations, and multiple departmental moves inside existing buildings.  I have worked with real estate agents and construction contractors.

Wanting to develop a more efficient operation?

I have years of experience in guiding teams to become more efficient, more effective, and more productive groups.  I have been part of the West Michigan lean network and have developed a “leaner version of lean.”  I have implemented job and value stream mapping procedures that have often led to better processes.  A Continuous Improvement culture is the main component of my leadership core. 


I have been responsible for the Quality aspect of several businesses, including supplier and vendor reviews, (15) quality audits (including ISO and FSC) and recertifications, risk management planning, and the management of work processes and standard operational procedures.

Needing to overcome some financial challenges?

I have been accountable for the financial management, including budget planning and financial performance reviews, of many businesses.  I have helped many teams become more efficient through increased productivity and expense reductions. 

Arranging an acquisition and merger?

I have been involved in (14) mergers and acquisitions, including business sales both to both private owners and public companies, and business purchases by private owners.    

Looking to develop leaders and teams?

I have been in various leadership roles, including Sales Manager, General Manager, Vice President and President, for many years.  I have led many different types of team meetings, leadership training sessions, and new hire orientations that have helped build an effective work culture.  I have developed brief Leadership Training Concepts that assist with the cultivation of leaders and also a Will/Skill performance review process that can help employees grow and improve.
